The "Sasha Doll" was named after her designer, Sasha Morganthaler who lived in Switzerland and died in 1975 at the age of 82. In 1994 Götz Dolls signed a license contract with the heirs of Sasha Morganthaler that has enabled them to manufacture the dolls as they had some thirty years prior.
