Each of Ruth Treffeisen's porcelain dolls is carefully hand-crafted in her studio in Germany. All important steps in the porcelain work is completed by Ruth herself. The clothing is consciously simple to give preference to the valuable materials and superior quality of the tailoring. The socks on all the porcelain dolls are hand knitted from the finest cotton or silk. Each set has a different pattern.
Ruth uses only the best human hair or mohair wigs, to emphasize the doll faces and the doll type. The jewelry is exclusively hand crafted from gold, silver, pearls and real stones. The head and shoulder plates are connected with a movable joint. This makes it possible for you to change the expression according to mood and atmosphere.
Every accessory, such as a hat or shoe is designed by Ruth to guarantee uniqueness. For all of the hats only the finest sisal and mohair felt cheroots are used.
